Himachal Pradesh has something most states do not: a live hospitality industry on the doorstep. Shimla, Dharamshala, Kullu and Manali run real hotels, real resorts and real seasonal pressure, which means students from these towns often arrive with a season or two of front-desk or F&B experience already behind them.
That experience is worth more than students think. It shortens the learning curve on a structured programme and it reads well on an application for an international internship, because it shows the work has already been done somewhere real.
Solan and Baddi are the opposite case — an industrial and corporate belt rather than a tourist one, where the relevant openings are in corporate hospitality, facility and guest services rather than resorts.
